Hope Town Happiness
Tom and I have been in the Bahamas for nearly a month and we're back in the wonderful Abacos...our third visit in ten years, but our first under our own steam. It was thrilling to pull into Hopetown Harbour and see the colorful red and white stripped lighthouse. We are jumpin with company this month of March..Suzy and Jack Keating just left after a wonderful 4 days of cruising and enjoying the scenery and each other. The Abacos are very different from the reswt of the Bahamas...the waters are shallow thus preventing any big cruise ships from coming in...therefore the resorts here are all small and no high rises...the cays are picturesque and loaded with history because these islands were settled by loyalists during the American revolution...all the little cottages have the look of England. Today we will anchor out and go snorkeling...

3/25/07 Could not let the day go by without wishing you a very Happy Birthday. Hope your day was filled with your every desire. It's been too long since we've had a fun conversation. Capt. Jim just asked me if your anchor was stuck. He thought maybe that was why you were still in the Abacos. Let's talk,we miss you both. Have a great Birthday. Love Jim & Karen
